Winemaking: 18 days skin contact allows us to create an ancestral ‘orange’ style wine where the skins of the grapes impart flavours of ripe peach, apricot and baked apple. The wine has a great fresh acidity and great structure in the mouth due to the extended skin contact. We aim to use as little intervention as possible to create a unique and surprising wine.
The wine was tank fermented and is made vegan friendly.
Only 541 bottles made.
Grape from Essex, Made in Kent.
Saddlegoose is a tiny project founded by Adam Collins, where he produces a very small number of bottles in Kent from organic growers across the country. Adam is passionate about the sustainability of Saddlegoose, so he only uses recycled bottles and label materials, as well as donates 5% of all proceeds to the British Waterfowl Association.
