“Cuvée Confiance’ Rasteau Domaine la Soumade 2019

A great rich, smooth Southern Rhone red from the village of Rasteau, made by the superstar of Rasteau Domaine la Soumade’s André Roméro.

Power and elegance go hand-in-hand in this robust blend. Its black plum and cassis flavours are intensely ripe, roasted even, in fruit concentration, but there’s a freshness of struck flint and salt that adds lift to the mid palate.

“Cuvée Confiance’ Rasteau Domaine la Soumade 2019

Power and elegance go hand-in-hand in this robust blend. Its black plum and cassis flavours are intensely ripe, roasted even, in fruit concentration, but there’s a freshness of struck flint and salt that adds lift to the mid palate.

Produced from selected parcels of old vines from 50 to 100 years old. Dark ruby in colour. A wonderful complex bouquet of pure fruits – red and black fruits. Full-bodied on the palate with rich and silky tannins, minerals and a deliciously long fruit finish. This is a beautiful wine that can be drunk up to 12 years from the vintage date.

Selected parcels of old vines from 50 to 100 years. The very deep roots of the old vines and varied terroir brings great complexity to this wine. Soils are predominantly clay, limestone and stones but vary in content. Parcels are lightly sloping (predominantly south facing) and at varying altitudes.
