Description
De Kleine Wijn Koöp Debutant Sémillon 2021 – Western Cape, South Africa
Country: South Africa
Region: Western Cape
Grape: Sémillon
Volume: 75cl
ABV: 11%
Vintage: 2020
Suitable for Vegans: Yes
Food pairing: The richness of the Wine will work well with roasted poultry dishes with cream based sauces. Try roasted Ox kidney with a mustard cream sauce and tagliatelle.
Flat-out world class dry white wine, surely (as the Platter Guide recognizes) one of South Africa’s greatest, and just incredibly reasonable for what’s in the bottle.
The grapes are picked by hand and a percentage fermented on the skins before being aged in old small French oak barrels for 3 months before being blended with non-skin contact components. Bottling then follows.
