Les Calades 2020, Mas Foulaquier, Pic Saint-Loup, Languedoc-Roussillon, France

Pierre Jéquier was an architect, but his passion for wine and the desire to have a craft close to nature led him to become a winemaker. After a lot of research in the South of France, it was love at first sight for Mas Foulaquier in 1998. With some financial help he was able to realise his dreams. Then in 2003, Blandine joined in on the adventure and now Mas Foulaquier is in its 15th year…

The wine is dense and purple in colour thanks to the presence of Syrah. The nose is very fruity with aromas of black fruits, floral and spicy with hints of laurel. The palate is round, supple and spicy.

Winemaking: Manual harvest, destemmed grapes are transferred into vats by gravity without pumping over and fermented using only indigenous yeasts, without the addition of oenological products. Matured for 24 months in oak barrels. No Filtration nor Fining
