Domaine Michel Juillot is one of the leading estates in Mercurey. Laurent Juillot is the fourth generation to run the domaine and he has inherited his father Michel’s attention to detail and focus on quality.
The domaine produces a varied range of wines, from village Bourgogne up to the Grand Crus of Corton Perrières and Corton-Charlemagne. Laurent puts just as much effort into the vineyard management and winemaking for his entry level wines as he does for his Grand Crus; this is reflected in the quality across all price levels. All of his wines show typicity of terroir, elegance and class.
This wonderful Pinot Noir has elements of softwood, earthy notes and a ripe nose of dark berries, with a hint of black pepper spice. The tannins are very well integrated and work in harmony with the wine’s minerality leading to a long finish.
