Olivier Leflaive Saint Aubin 1er Cru En Remilly 2021, Burgundy, France

£92.00

In stock

Olivier Leflaive needs little introduction for those who have followed Burgundy for some time. Olivier comanaged Domaine Leflaive with his uncle Vincent through the 1980s and then with his cousin Anne-Claude in the early 1990s.

En Rémilly sits on the plateau above Puligny- Montrachet, exposed to the elements and just around the corner from Chassagne-Montrachet. This wine offers similar style and quality but offers better value. Poised and precise,  supple pear fruit, lemon zest, white peach, macadamia nuts and buttercream are all balanced beautifully with fresh acidity, whilst that distinctively Burgundian undertone of minerality follows through on the finish. A thing of beauty

From three parcels in one of Saint Romain’s finest terroirs, this 100% barrel-fermented wine has a floral bouquet of honeysuckle and white stone fruits with a smoky flinty note. On the palate, attractive citrus fruit is balanced by zingy minerality leading to a long finish. Drink from 2023.
