A Little History …

Hungary’s most well known wine region, Tokaj, is known for its volcanic clay soil bringing distinctive personality to the wines produced in this region. Out of the sweet white wines produced, Tokaj Classic Winery is best known for its sweet Tokaj Aszú wines.

The Tokaj wines, pronounced “toe-kay”, are famous for their flavour and longevity. Tokaj Classic Winery favours traditional methods of wine making and barrel ageing. Their aim? To produce the best and most unique sweet wines in the world.

Tokaj Classic Winery was founded by two musicians, but the wine making is now in the capable hands of Imre Galambos, whose family has been making Tokaj for generations. Tokaj Classic is located in the village Mád, in Hungary, where it has regained its former acclaim as the authority on Tokaj wine making.
